Pastor Steve has a BA in Bible from Bob Jones University and a Master of Ministry from Northland Baptist Bible College. He spent two years teaching Bible in a Christian high school and coached their soccer team to a state championship. In 1983 Pastor Steve and his wife Bobbi founded Victory Homes for Boys to help troubled teen boys turn their hearts to Jesus Christ and to their families. Victory Homes is still in operation in northeastern Wisconsin.
During the boys' home years, God blessed the Schroeder's with five boys. Under this influence Pastor Steve and Bobbi determined to learn a Biblical philosophy of parenting to guide them through their own child-training years. It was also a time of trial as they had four miscarriages and found that their youngest son was to be a severe epileptic.
In 1998 the family moved to the Aurora/Naperville area to start a church with Pastor Steve's dad, Dr. Bill Schroeder. Believing in the need to show the love of the Lord Jesus, the family jumped into the community to meet people and point them to the Savior. In 2000, Stefani, the only girl, was born into the Schroeder family.
The many experiences of life have taught Pastor Steve and Bobbi that to live with faith in the God who knows the end from the beginning is the only peaceful way to live. Witnessing failures both in people's lives as well as their bodies has shaped this family into one of compassion for the hurting, love for the lost, and a message of God's truth for those away from God.
